In the context of computing machines development, humans have obtained possibilities that were hardly imagined several decades ago. Devices nowadays are used in every branch of activity, be it portable mobile device or stationary computing equipment. It touches upon all aspects of life for virtually everybody. In the light of such innovations, various processes in other fields were also triggered, including the entertainment industry, specifically the industry of gaming. The American company Magnavox put forth the first gaming console, presenting Magnavox Odyssey in early 70s. This device had been highly popular until 1977, when the first gaming console, based upon a microprocessor, came out. Since those days the gaming systems have drastically evolved, and the only common thing left between the old and new devices is the customers’ demand.

Due to successful acceptance, different types of entertaining accessories were developed basing upon the demands of the industry fans.Different genres of the gaming entertainment evolved together with the technology, both dependent on it and at the same time pushing it forward. The genres, in general, are as follows:

But the most renowned playing systems for consoles are dealing with a fighting genre. Companies all around the world concern themselves with fighting games producing new or modifying old versions. Amongst such competition there are few companies, able to draw users’ attention to innovative games of the fighting genre. However, there was a company that managed to exceed the most critical expectations. Namco Limited created a game Tekken (Japanese: “Iron fist”), that entered the market and immediately came as a bombshell. The release date was so in the past, that gamers of nowadays could have hardly remembered it. The first product of the series was launched in the middle of 90s and could withstand the time to remain popular until now. The game is extremely popular: there were three movies, a Manga and other products created using the universe of this game.
Initial series of games were made up for playing machines and a family of PlayStation. The first part of the series was released in 1994 on arcade machines and was ported to the first PlayStation. The sequels of the game Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 went the same way, in 1996 and 1998 respectively. At the same time, the third part of the game was also ported to Game Boy Advance under the name Tekken Advance in 2001.
The next two games, Tekken 4 and Tekken 5, were ported to the PlayStation 2 in 2002 and 2004 respectively, and also became some of the most popular games on this console. After that, two additional modifications of Tekken 5 for the PlayStation were released. On June 9, 2013, the game was officially announced by Namco Bandai Games on E3. A year later the seventh part of the series was released.
The founder of Tekken claims that initially when creating the product, its developers were inspired by such games as Street Fighter, Samurai Shodown, as well as by action films with Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.
